Habitat’s Women Build in Sussex kicks off May 2 in Ellendale

ELLENDALE – Habitat for Humanity’s National Women Build Week is May 2 through May 9.

Locally, Sussex County Habitat for Humanity’s project kick-off is Saturday, May 2 on Washington Avenue in Ellendale.

The other Women Build days will be May 5 through May 9 at the same location.

No experience necessary.

On May 5 at 6 p.m., there will be a training clinic, “How to Safely use Hand and Power Tools”, at the Lowe’s in Millsboro. No sign up necessary.

Women Build is Habitat for Humanity’s program for women who want to learn construction skills and build homes and communities.

This program brings together women from all walks of life to address the housing crisis facing millions of women and children worldwide.
